This came from the estate of a retired marine who served from wwii up until vietnam. His son wasn't sure when his dad made knife but it is definitely old.
This is a very well made knife, the blade is expertly ground and marked usa on one side has initials on the other, the guard is soldered to the blade, the handle is mortised stag, all the island names were carved deeply into the handle then filled with some type of hard black resin, the sheath is stamped genuine leather usmc on the back. Very cool knife and wicked sharp. Blade 1/8 thick, 6 1/4 long, very sharp overall length 10 7/8 handle mortised stag with a swirl blue synthetic round inlaid into the butt fittings brass guard condition very-fine/used, knife shows use but no abuse, knife is solid and tight, ~grading scale poor, good, very-good, fine, very-fine, excellent, mint(i rarely grade anything as mint)~ we would like payment to be made via paypal, money order or check within 10 days (10 day hold on personal checks). Shipping is $5.95 via usps priority mail.
Insurance is $1.70 for $50, $2.70 for $100 and $1.00 for each $100 after. Foreign bidders must contact us for a shipping quote as it will be more expensive.
